Biography
Javier Grajeda is a native of Los Angeles, California. Growing up, he worked for his family's landscaping business, where he first became interested in employment and workers' rights. Javier, the first generation child of Mexican immigrant parents, is the first individual in his family to obtain a college and law degree. Javier received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, Arizona State University. Prior to graduating from law school, Javier participated in the College of Law's Lodestar Mediation Clinic and the Arizona Justice Project's Post Conviction Clinic. Additionally, Javier was a legal extern for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Community Legal Services. Javier was awarded the 2009-2010 Honorable Valdemar Cordova - Los Abogados scholarship in recognition for his service to the Latino community, and the State Bar of Arizona Employment Law Section 2009-2010 R. Kelly Hocker Labor Law Scholarship. Upon graduation, Javier received High Honors for his commitment to pro bono service.
In October of 2010, Javier received a passing score on the Arizona Bar Examination, and joins Taylor & Associates as our new associate attorney. He is an active member of Los Abogados, Arizona's Hispanic Bar Association. Javier lives in Phoenix with his fiancée, Molly, and two cats, Nala and Morty.
